Build Strong Foundations
Children strengthen number sense and begin working with addition and subtraction, number combinations, patterns, measurement and simple word problems. Logic challenges and Smartboard activities help them learn to explain how they found an answer — not simply memorize it.

Understand How Math Works
Students develop fluency with addition and subtraction, explore place value, number relationships, measurement and early geometry. We introduce mental-math strategies, word problems and logic challenges that encourage children to find more than one way to solve a problem.

Think Beyond the Textbook
